What you'll learn in this beginner knitting class:
Students should bring their own needles and a light or medium-colored yarn - no black, navy etc.
In Knitting Level 2, students will learn:

- How to increase (add stitches)
- How to decrease (subtract stitches)
- When to use which type of increase and decrease
- How to pick up dropped stitches
- How to read a knitting pattern
- The importance of gauge
- What is gauge
- How to measure gauge
- How to swatch for gauge
- How to choose the right yarn for a pattern
- How to determine how much yarn to buy
- How to get started on a pattern
School Notes:
OUTSIDE FOOD & DRINKS ARE NOT ALLOWED. QED has coffee, tea, soda, beer & wine plus snacks and pre-made wraps and sandwiches available.
Refund Policy
- We require at least 8 business days notice before a class in order to issue a refund less 5% cancellation fee and there are no transfers to future classes allowed.
- Tickets are transferable meaning we will allow anyone to take your place in class, so check around with your friends to see if someone else would like your spot.
In case of bad weather, classes WILL always take place unless the subway system is closed down. If you have issues traveling, please keep this in mind when you purchase your ticket. If the school do cancel for an emergency, we will try to reschedule the class on the same day of the week at the same scheduled time as soon as possible. If you cannot make the rescheduled date, we will refund you the price of your seat.
