Post your classes and dates on CourseHorse

Everything happens in the Partner Portal. Sign in at admin.coursehorse.com with your school login, then follow the steps below.

1 Create a class

Open Classes and click “+ Add a class”

The Classes tab lists every class your school has. Use the search box and the tabs (Live, Needs dates, Drafts, Closed) to find one. To start a new class, click + Add a class.

The Classes page with the + Add a class button

Name it, pick the city and category

  • Start from: a blank class, or a copy of one of your classes (its details, categories and photos come with it, never its dates).
  • Class name: what students will see, for example “Intro to Wheel Throwing”.
  • City: where it takes place. Online-only classes go in Online.
  • Category: type a word (like “pottery”) to find it, then choose it.

Click Add class as a draft. A draft is not on the site yet, so you can take your time.

Your class page

Every class has its own page with three parts: Dates, Photos and Details. The label at the top says whether the class is a Draft, Open or Closed.

Add photos

Click Add photos (or drag them onto the box), or Choose from library to reuse photos you already uploaded. Use JPG or PNG photos at least 400 pixels across; 800 or more looks best. The first photo is the cover; drag photos to change the order. You can add up to 6.

Fill in the details

Click Edit details. Fill in the level, ages, typical class size and length, then:

  • What students will do and learn: the full description on the class page.
  • Summary: a short version shown in listings and search results.
  • What students should know: prerequisites, extra fees, materials to bring, a short note on the class page.
  • Details students get after booking: address details, parking, what to expect.

Click Save details when you’re done.

Add dates, then publish

Add at least one date (see Post dates below), then click Publish class at the top of the class page. The class goes live on CourseHorse and students can book its dates.

Don’t see Publish class? Your school may not be set up for bookings yet. Use Contact CourseHorse at the top of the portal and we’ll help.

2 Post dates (schedules)

Open the class and click “+ Add dates”

In Classes, click the class, then + Add dates in its Dates section. First choose how it’s booked:

  • One date: a single session. Click + Add another date to post several single dates at once.
  • A series: several sessions booked together, like a 4-week course. Students book the whole series.
  • Repeating dates: the same class on many days, each booked on its own, like every Wednesday and Saturday.

One date

Pick the date and the start and end times. Times are in the class’s local time.

The Add dates form with One date chosen

A series

Use Fill in the series’ sessions to save typing: pick the weekday(s), the first and last day and the times, then click Fill in the sessions. Remove any session you don’t want with the ×, or add one with + Add a session.

Repeating dates

Same idea: pick the weekdays, the date range and the times, then click Fill in the dates. Each date is booked on its own. Remove any you don’t want (holidays, days off) with the ×.

Price, seats and the rest

  • Price per person: must be above $0. CourseHorse doesn’t list free classes.
  • Seats: how many students can book each date.
  • Where it meets and Teacher: choose from your locations and teachers.
  • Note on the class page (optional, 100 characters), like “Bring your own apron”.
  • School’s reference (optional): your own code for the date.
  • Booking closes: how many days before the first session booking closes. The review shows the exact time.

Review, then add

Click Review dates. Nothing is added until you’ve checked it. The review shows every date on a calendar, when booking closes, and warns you about anything that looks off (a duplicate date, an odd time, a price far from your last one). Then click Add dates and put on sale, Save as drafts to add them without selling yet, or Change something to go back.

Made a mistake? Right after adding, the Dates section shows Undo…. You can undo your latest batch for 7 days (dates that already have bookings stay).

3 Change or close dates

Edit a date

Click Edit under the date to change its price, total seats, seats still for sale (0 = full), location, teacher, note or booking window. Click Save date.

If students have already booked a date and its time or place changes, contact CourseHorse so they’re told.

Take a date off sale

Click Take off sale, choose why, and confirm. Students can no longer book it. Dates you took off sale are under Past and off sale, where you can put them back on sale.

Taking a date off sale with a reason

Change several dates at once

Tick the boxes next to the dates, or use Select: All or a weekday like Every Sat. A bar appears where you can change the price, seats or location of all of them, or take them all off sale.
