You’ve got a killer beat sheet and a fine-tuned outline to boot. But how do you turn those raw materials into the beating heart of an amazing script? Scene work. In this one day TV and Movie scene writing workshop, explore the playwright’s toolset for building compelling story segments. Make your work sizzle with well-crafted conflict, authentic dialogue, and emotional beats. Veteran TV and screenwriter Steve Peros (22 scripts sold) shows you how to construct your script from the inside out, making each scene a microcosm of your larger narrative. He teaches you the concepts of vertical writing, crafting vivid action lines and writing poetic, lean descriptions that pop off the page through an engaging lecture, illustrative sample scenes and in-class writing exercises to get your scenes up on their feet.
