Jason Grote's plays include 1001, Maria/Stuart, Shostakovich, and Civilization (all you can eat). He wrote the script for David Levine's Habit (2013 OBIE) and adapted the text for En Garde Arts' Basetrack (NYT Top Ten of 2014). TV writing credits include "Mad Men", "Hannibal", "Smash", and "The Lizzie Borden Chronicles". Current projects include a film adaptation of John Cheever's "Goodbye, My Brother"; a musical, Scheherazade, with composer Marisa Michelson; the text for Radiohole's 2015 project (to be performed at Mass Live Arts and The Performing Garage); and a commission from Soho Rep.
