Question from Anonymous
Hello - Do we need to have Adobe Premiere Pro 2019 already installed on our computer before attending the workshop?
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi there! You should bring pen/paper for notes. The school provides everything else. Hope this helps!
Question from anonymous
After this course, were you able to get hired for a job as a video editor?
Answer from Josh A. Verified Educator
Hi There, We don't guarantee employment after our courses, nor do we have job placement. This will definitely get you started editing, which with practice and working on Premiere Pro should ultimately get you the ability to work as in post production in some capacity. There are a lot of factors involved in predicting employment after a three-day workshop that are not easily predictable and a much larger discussion.
Question from Heather
Hello- I am interested in taking the Adobe Premiere Pro 101 class at Manhattan Edit Workshop. I am looking into reimbursement from my company. The requirements are an accredited college or university. I see that is is certified? Also is there a grade given in this class as this effects the reimbursement as well.
Answer from Darwin V. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi Heather, The school is a licensed Private School by the New York State Board of Education. This is enough for some companies, but not for others. They are not an accredited degree program, like a university or college. The Adobe classes are Certified by Adobe (the manufacturer of the program); as they are a Certified Adobe Training Center.
Answer from Darwin V. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
The school can provide grades for this class, but it would be a written letter of pass/fail and be accompanied by a certificate of completion with the school stamp, class name, student name, date and hours of completion.

Mark is a phenomenal teacher. Excellent movie samples, I felt so good about all the progress I’ve made on this program. I also really enjoyed the types of work we did and all the repetition of shortcut keys. It made me so hopeful about learning this application at a deeper level.

The course was excellent. The instructor, Mark Chandler, explained things very well and had lots of patience. He checked on each and every one of us and made sure we understood the lessons. The course covered everything from video editing to audio editing to color correction to outputs. Highly recommended.

I really felt like I got my money's worth. I learned everything I was hoping to, to give me confidence to edit at home. We covered the "basics", but I'm already able to edit videos for practical use, so think this is an excellent course! Really nice teacher.

I really enjoyed the Premiere 101 class I took with Mark. He had such a good way of teaching a touch program to a bunch of beginners. I would have no problem taking another course with Mark or through CourseHorse. Thank you!
