Are you ready to unleash your inner jazz singer? Join Elana Hedrych for a singing workshop that’s sure to have you scatting and crooning in no time! This class is open to beginner and intermediate level students looking to develop their vocal technique and tap into the language of jazz.
Whether you’re an aspiring singer or an instrumentalist looking to do more singing, this workshop will give you the foundations you need to succeed. You’ll learn a vast selection of jazz standards and feel comfortable exploring their interpretive possibilities, all while practicing vocal and breathing exercises designed to strengthen your singing voice, improve your tone, and increase your vocal elasticity and range.
You’ll also learn more about phrasing, rhythm, improvisation, and verbal/nonverbal communication while touching upon basic notions of music theory. So why wait? Once students commit to participating at the workshop we hire a teacher and block the space for the class. The NYJW commits to the payment of the teacher and the studio rental and we therefore are unable to offer refunds.
We try to keep the costs for the students as low as possible and we do offer the opportunity to participate in one of our classes before signing up.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
