Cante Accompaniment Class

For players with some flamenco background, a knowledge of chord positions, and ability to play in rhythm using flamenco rasqueados. Guest singers will present repertoire in forms such as tangos, bulerias, alegrias, solea por bulerias and rumba. Everyone will initially try to play along with Basilio accompanying a routine of the guest singer. Afterwards, Basilio will break down the chords for the verses the singer presented, and give details about the structure of the singer’s routine.

Level: Advanced Beginner or Intermediate level 

Please note:

• All Group Classes require minimum enrollment of 3 students, or the start date may be further revised.

• Anyone purchasing a Term packages must use up all credit before the end of the Fall Term 12/12/19. If a student misses a class, the only option is to use a missed class credit at a different group class before 12/12/19, otherwise unused credit expires.
