Attended: Drawing for Beginners

The instructor was terrible. His instructions were poor. He provided no critiquing during the class so you never knew where you were. He offered to let people submit their drawings so he could provide feedback, but, even then, he barely provided any to the people who submitted their drawings. During the class, He seldom showed what he was doing to finish the drawing, so we couldn’t learn from him. I wish I could get my money back. I gave it 2 stars because I didn’t go to the last 2 classes and perhaps they were better than the ones I attended.

Attended: Collage & Mixed Media Concepts (Advanced)

Small class was good opportunity for feedback from teacher and other students. All the students had specific and individual things they were working on. Many students had taken class before but everyone was friendly and helpful.

Attended: Drawing for Beginners

Eric is a patient and insightful teacher. He meets his students at whatever level they are at (in my case a total beginner) and his input over the course really improved my capabilities. I liked the course so much I immediately signed up for the next one. We covered placement, blending, shading, adding volume, shapes, figures and abstract - all essential cornerstones for good drawing.

Unfortunately two of the classes had to be cancelled due to work being done on the building. The class itself was good and I learned a few techniques that helped with how I approach what I see and and actually put on paper. Realized that I need to practice more.
