Unlock the secrets to nailing auditions with the experts at Awesome Acting Club. Perfect your self-tape skills and learn how to "Book the Room" in virtual casting offices. Join our Audition Technique class and master both comedy and drama auditions.
Whether you're looking to up your callback & booking from tape ratio or still figuring out the technical standpoint (or both) this class is for you! Everyone is saying self-tapes are the "new normal", luckily for our veteran acting coaches this isn't a "new" concept. Our coaches have spent years perfecting the ideal self-tape and will be sharing their proven tips & tricks with you. We will help you learn to "Book the Room" even if during these times it’s a virtual casting office.
The focus of this class is on Audition Technique. Actors will learn useful skills and techniques for both comedy and drama auditions. Students will be given critique and redirects (on performance/preparation/scene breakdown choices) on prepared scenes performed during class and the following week will do a selftape applying the redirects given. During selftape weeks technical notes will be given as needed and all tapes will be shown during class with more redirects given before students perform their scene again in a “live zoom callback” setting. Two weeks of comedy and two weeks of drama!
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
4-WEEK GROUP CLASSES:
Students may only work on class material that was taught during their missed class in the make up class.
The “Make Up Monday” class will be held the first Monday of the following month from 3:00-5:00pm (Pacific). An email will be sent to those on the makeup class list with the zoom link prior to that class. Makeup class students can stay for the entire makeup class to watch and learn from all of the other students’ work, or they can leave the zoom after their turn.
We understand that sometimes auditions and bookings are scheduled last minute and might occur within the required 2 business days notice window. One of our goals is to train each actor to be prepared for precisely those types of opportunities, therefore absences for auditions & bookings would still fall under the cancellation policy outlined above.
SPECIAL INTENSIVES:
No refunds or make ups available.
In the event that an instructor or the school needs to cancel at the last minute, students will receive a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
