Description

Create beautiful Polaroid quilt blocks with Justin at Keaton Quilts in NYC. This hands-on quilting workshop focuses on precise fussy cutting techniques to showcase your focal fabrics, then teaches you to piece together charming blocks. Plan to complete 4 blocks during class, which is the perfect amount for a throw pillow project. If you want to expand your skills, you can create additional blocks outside of class to complete a full-sized quilt.

Required Fabric Supplies:

  • 1 quarter yard or fat quarter of white fabric for block trim
  • 1 quarter yard or fat quarter of background fabric for the block borders
  • Focal fabric pieces: each Polaroid block centers on a 4-inch square, so bring enough fabric to cut four individual 4-inch squares featuring your favorite designs or images

Required Tools and Supplies:

  • Rotary cutter for precise cutting
  • Acrylic quilting ruler measuring 6 inches by 12 inches, or a 6-inch square ruler, or similar sizing
  • Quality scissors for cutting fabric
  • Pins or sewing clips for securing pieces (optional but helpful)
  • Marking pen for accurate layout and alignment
  • Seam ripper for correcting stitches as needed
School Notes:

Note: Please have a general knowledge of sewing and for classes that include machine sewing, please have experience using a machine.

Refund Policy

We offer store credit to be used toward a future class if notice is given at least 72 hours before the class.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
