We started with the basics of holding a microphone, which was actually helpful. learned how to outline jokes, and had time to write ourselves. bring a notebook. Everyone was a beginner and the teacher made everyone feel comfortable.

Great instructor, great material, took lots of notes and interactive as well. Everyone gets a chance to go on stage with speak on the mic.

I loved the class! Paul did a phenomenal job and I learned a lot. I left feeling like I got more than what I paid for. Definitely coming back to take more classes.

Great improv class for being a first-timer. The class was easy-going and I had a fun time.

Joanie Coyote was wonderful and insightful. She gave me some of the best and most useful notes I've ever received from a director or teacher. She never put me down and never poked fun of any of us. She's a pro and you can feel it when she talks to you. She empathizes with how vulnerable we are up there and made us all feel like we really could/can do this seemingly impossible task of "getting up and doing 5 minutes". Oh, and she taught me how to write a joke.... And a whole bunch of other stuff you need to know before you step on that stage. I loved the class and I think Ms. Coyote is exceptional.

Wonderful lecture full of comedy clips from comedy movie classics covering all the types of comedy. Wish the teacher would have allowed more class participation.
