Barbara Garren

Teaches at The Art League

Barbara Garren comes to The Art League with a long and rich history in the fiber arts, with a concentration in knitting.  Barbara has developed a hands-on, personal, one-on-one approach, essential to learning the basic art of knitting, into a system of instruction that is not only highly effective, but inspires confidence in the beginning knitter to try more advanced projects in relation to their progress.  Noting that most knitters slowly learn the craft of knitting from their mothers or grandmothers over a long period of time, Barbara has spent many years knitting for her family and friends.

Coming most recently from Springwater Fiber Workshop and School where Barbara taught beginning knitting privately and in classes, she particularly enjoys sharing her skills, enthusiasm, and passion for knitting with beginning students.
