  • It was a great beginning class to colored pencil. It started on time & gave good information. I think Molly did a great job giving several different examples of colored pencil & how to start it.
  • Great class for beginners. Surprised how well online format worked!
  • Fascinating class hearing about the history and cultural influences on flower arrangements. Instructor was patient, kind and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this class!!
  • Great class, wonderful teacher. Learned about history & practical steps in Kintsugi. Really enjoyed the experience!
  • The instructor, Cara, was absolutely wonderful! She provided very clear instructions as well as top-notch materials. She was patient and answered all of the questions that I had. I would definitely take another class from Cara!
  • Ryoko was fantastic—I went in not knowing what to expect, but ultimately was really glad I did this class and my bouquets look much nicer now.
  • I really enjoyed this class. It’s been a very long time since I’ve done any drawing let alone charcoal but Raphael made it a fun learning experience. Never once did he make me or anyone else feel like they did wrong. We learned about mark mapping & proportion with our subject as well as creating value, scale and shadowing by blending charcoal. I liked the size of the class, 5 or 6 students, Raphael’s one on one with everyone and the workspace really felt like an art studio with many easels, artwork and quotes. Everyone attending was friendly and interested in each others work. I look forward to taking more classes in the future.
  • I was nervous because the class was small and I am an introvert. It was the perfect set up. Teacher was personable without forcing input and questions and greetings. You could talk if you wanted or remain quiet. Zero pressure. Anjl taught very simple and clear with great imagery. It was so easy to follow. She really helped lay the base for what I'm trying to develop in myself. I really feel confident I can do this now with the knowledge she shared! It was fantastic! My family is already asking me to draw them just based off my class drawings.
  • Class was amazing and very easy to follow! And it definitely allowed me to get back into painting!
  • Raphael's Fundamentals of Drawing class was an exceptional experience thanks to his personalized instruction and unwavering encouragement, creating a truly inspiring learning environment. The unique studio ambiance further enhanced the journey, making every session a delightful retreat into creativity. I wholeheartedly recommend this class to anyone seeking to grow their artistic skills in a supportive and engaging setting!
  • Really enjoyed the 3 week course. Raphael is a great artist & teacher. I didn’t have much experience with charcoal before but learned a ton and felt great about the piece i worked on in the class. Learned a lot about proportions and identifying values & shadows. Would definitely recommend!
  • Judith was great! Can’t do next session, but will be back! M
  • Linda is a very helpful, entertaining, and knowledgeable instructor who manages to oversee a large number of disparate activities simultaneously. This format was new to me -- less overt instruction, each person doing their own project in different media -- and I'm not sure it's really efficient, but if anyone could make it work, Linda would be the one!
  • Susan is an EXCEPTIONAL teacher! I learned so much and had so much fun! HIGHEST recommendation!
  • I enjoyed this course and learned so much. I am thrilled with the paintings I created. The demo lessons were easy to follow and the skills learned have given me more confidence in my abilities.
  • Anjl was the perfect instructor! Supportive, affable, and funny. She shared her passion with me, and I could see how beneficial it is to doodle, so long as you do it mindfully.
  • It was really fun! The instructor was very understanding and patient and I ended up with a painting that I was very proud of. I would definitely take the course again.
  • I loved the class, I learned a lot of things because I am a new learner in this subject, but I needed more time to take more notes
  • Kat was gracious and patient in guiding our small class through the steps of Kintsugi. The class was informative, relaxing and fun. Highly recommend.
  • Linda was a great instructor, very creative and versatile in different techniques. Fun class to learn about beginning chalk pastels.
  • Took this class write my daughter and we both really enjoyed it. We learned so much about this beautiful Japanese art. We will definitely incorporate our new found knowledge in future flower arrangement. Our instructor was very patient and encouraging as she worked with all our different flowers and vases/vessels. So glad we did this!!
  • It was well done. My only suggestion is that she start out getting people ready I.e. prepare and position yarn. I started out behind because my yarn got tangled. Cara was great when I raised my hand she back tracked for me. I would definitely take a class again.
  • Anjl was a wonderful teacher! Her instructions were given in way that was easy to understand and remember. She also gave the kindest feedback/suggestions I've ever received. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a painting instructor.
  • Cara is amazing. She is patient, kind and very knowledgable. She is very responsive to emails and questions. She is a talented artist. I took the class with my daughter and we now both have the coolest, most original hats to wear. I highly recommend taking this class.
  • Allison is a fabulous instructor.
  • Raphael is an exceptional art teacher! His classes are a perfect blend of skill-building and artistic exploration. He possesses a deep understanding of various art techniques and has a knack for explaining them in a clear and engaging way. What's more, his lessons are enriched by his vast knowledge of art history. He effortlessly weaves in fascinating insights about the origins of these techniques and the historical context in which they were developed, giving us a deeper appreciation for the art we create. What sets Raphael apart is his ability to nurture individual talent. He takes the time to understand each student's unique strengths and interests, providing personalized guidance and encouragement. He fosters a supportive and inspiring classroom environment where everyone feels comfortable experimenting with their art. Beyond technique, Raphael fosters a true understanding of art. He encourages us to think critically about the art we see and create, to analyze its meaning and impact. He opens our eyes to different artistic styles and movements, helping us to develop a well-rounded perspective. Raphael's passion for art is contagious, I highly recommend Raphael to anyone seeking to ignite and develop their artistic abilities, unlocking their creative potential. He is a truly gifted teacher who makes learning an enriching and enjoyable experience.
  • The instructor was very patient, thorough and knowledgeable. I think with practice I will be able to create hammered jewelry!
  • This class is a wonderful space for anyone who enjoys art and wants to begin working on their drawing and painting skills. Raphael is an amazing teacher who really understands beginners and knows how to approach them and their way of thinking. He's super knowledgable about the history of art, and it's just a pleasure being in the space that he's created. Before taking Raphael's classes, I did some sketching at home, but without actually being familiar with any drawing techniques, so I've taken 5 or 6 classes in this studio. In the beginner class, Raphael focuses on composition (which is super helpful because knowing how to start a drawing can be really difficult), shading (values/tones/what it means to give shape to an object and that erasing is also a part of painting), what an iterative process creating art is, and simply how to approach/understand/appreciate a work of art. Raphael encourages different mediums such as charcoal and pastels, neither of which I'd been exposed to before - it's been great learning how powerful both of these are. Also, the class takes place in an atelier filled with so many paintings, which I find really cool.
  • This class was very relaxing and my instructor was easy-going and made the session fun. In simple easy steps I was able to make beautiful complex looking abstract art. Perfect class after a busy stressed work-day. The time flew by and I learnt some fun doodles.
  • Painting in Watercolor Level 2 is at least a 5 experience. The teacher leads you through doing a complete painting and on the way you learn new techniques and ways to approach painting things
  • I took this class for a mental break from my job, and it ended up being a wonderful choice! The class is informative, and Raul was very helpful and encouraging throughout the process. You will learn a lot and expand your artistic knowledge in a very relaxed, easy-going environment.
  • I took the class along with my son. We really enjoyed it and learned a lot. We learned about technique and also to enjoy the process. Great class and instructor!
  • This was an awesome course. It helped me to start seeing the world like an artist and deepened my understanding of how to create images with pencil and paper.
  • I really enjoyed the course. Directions were fun and easy to follow and the teacher and classmates were welcoming and engaging. I would recommend to anyone looking to take the next step in their craft.
  • I gained knowledge watching the Argentium tutorial on shaping organic figures into creative, wearable art. I learned how to curve & solder discs by reshaping the edges into multi clusters & attaching posts for conceptual or for more of a sophisticated look. I knowledge I gained will enhance my ability to create, produce & share my skills with others. Thank you for my new skills.
  • Splendid.
  • A great class, clear instructions
  • The instructor was wonderful! I learned a lot in a fun and engaging atmosphere! I would definitely recommend this class!!
  • Loved the instructor…I really enjoyed the class
  • It was the best zoom class I've taken as he was savvy and quick with the technology in a way that really helped the learning process and didn’t delay or detract. The teacher provided tons of resources and useful tips throughout each class. He was engaging, energetic, and skilled. It helped to have our work marked up in real time to see where we can improve. He works well with all skill levels without judgment. More than anything, it was just fun :)
  • I love this class. Erin is great. The collage artists she covers range from very well known such as Joseph Cornell to the locally known artists like Eunice Parsons of Portland, Oregon. Erin’s demonstrations are very helpful in being able to take the techniques and subject matter of the artist discussed each week and interpret into your own work. The class not only provides the input and knowledge of the teacher Erin McClusky but also gives the opportunity to learn from the other students and their knowledge and recommendations of techniques and art supplies that have worked for them.
  • Truly enjoyed learning more about Misho Ikebana... Thank You...great instructor!
  • The class was professional and informative. The instructor had complete and easy to understand videos and practical instructions. She even shared secrets on getting your collar to lay flat and not roll. I loved the class and really appreciated the patience of the instructor.
  • Thought teacher covered the basics of painting in watercolors extremely well. She always touched base with the class on their progress and very open to our questions
  • Loved the class and Anna the instructor. Well worth the money. My husband and I enjoyed the time together and learning the basic techniques.
  • The instructor was kind patient and personable
  • Never thought I could paint watercolor in one lesson but was able to follow the teacher and I did pretty well!
  • Linda is a joy to have as an instructor! Learning many basics missed in other classes I’ve taken and finding it very valuable.
  • I have never been good at drawing and was skeptical as I signed up for this course. Surprisingly, I learned a lot. The instructor was very accessible and taught in a very structured, clear way and I actually learned to paint and learned something about mixing colors and in general feel much more comfortable about my abilities. I would have liked to continue but I believe the instructor went to Europe at the end of the class. I would give the experience a 4.5, simply because I would have preferred to do it in person.
  • I truly enjoyed this class! It was personal and fun! The one issue was with Course Horse...they kept emailing me the class was cancelled. Then the instructor sent me the zoom link just before the class was to start. I really didn't know if there was going to be a class or not right up to the class start time...this was frustrating.
