Mastering traditional charcoal drawing is a cornerstone of classical art education and a skill taught in most prestigious art academies. Why not learn this foundational medium here? Through Linda's unique curriculum, you'll explore the fundamentals of sketching and creating illustrations with incredible depth and tone. The instructor shares valuable tips and techniques that will quickly get you comfortable with this versatile medium and its expressive possibilities.

This course is ideal for those interested in pursuing drawing for fine art applications as well as commercial and book illustration projects. You'll develop the confidence and technical skills to work with charcoal effectively.

Please Note: This is not a "copy the teacher" format where everyone creates the same image.

Prerequisites: Online Drawing with Graphite 101 or equivalent.

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Refund Policy

Tuition is not refundable.

When rescheduling a class a 3 business days notice in advance of the class is required or the class is forfeited.

The make-up class must be attended within the 30 days. A make-up cannot be rescheduled once booked.

No make-ups are given for no-shows or if you forget to come to class.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
