Many of the memorials on the western end of the National Mall are surrounded by colorful fall foliage
Of COURSE you can go to New England or the Shenandoah to see the fall colors, but Washington Photo Safari director E. David Luria can show you where and how to photograph magnificent foliage right here in the nation’s capital, on the National Mall. Beginning at the poignant Korean War Memorial, with its soldiers framed by brilliant orange trees, we then photograph the “Wall In Fall”, the famed Vietnam Memorial against a solid bank of red and orange trees. The nurse looking up to the sky for a helicopter medevac at the Vietnam Womens Memorial is all the more dramatic posed against the fall foliage. Then we hike through a grove of brilliant red trees around Constitution Gardens to the World War II Memorial, also surrounded by colorful foliage. Mr. Luria will give you tips on composition, exposure, and lighting and the use of color filters or white balance settings to enhance the fall colors in your photographs.
