Question from Anonymous
Neither Coursehorse nor El Camino CC appear as an approved vendor on "Courses of study offered by notary public education vendors must be reviewed and approved by the Secretary of State as required by California Government Code section 8201.2." Is this a SOS-approved course?
Question from Anonymous
I have my certificate of completion and need to just take the test. Am I able to register and just take the test portion?
Answer from Luis Q. Verified Student
Yeah just go to find a test day and take the certificate with you.
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi there! The Notary Public courses do not include the exam. However, CPSHR is on campus to proctor the exam every month. They do take walk-ins however pre-registration is strongly recommended. Registration must be received 15 business days prior to the exam date. Hope this helps!

Class was wonderful. I was expecting the test the same day. That was not the case. I don't recall seeing that mentioned but class was still worth it

Very good instructor. Knows his stuff and answered questions professionally. But I thought when I signed up for this class, that it was one where I could take the class and the Notary test on the same day. And leading up to the class, I was told to bring the items needed to take the exam (passport photos, check for Secretary of State, etc). Thankfully I was able to walk-in and take the notary exam the next day, but the uncertainty was upsetting.
