Advanced Karate & Kobudo (All Ages)

This class is for those students that have reached green belt level. We continue to teach more advanced Karate, and add weapons(Kobudo). We teach the five basic Okinawan weapons. Bo, Sai, Tonfa, Kama, and Nunchaku. Please wear comfortable / loose fitting clothes.

Beginning Karate (All Ages)

This class is for people with little or no karate experience. In this class we will work on basic Karate techniques, stances, blocks, punches, and kicks. We will teach basic history, and learn the first form (kata) Pinan Shodan. This course usually takes two to five months of class to be able to pass the test to enter Intermediate Karate class. Testing is done on the last class of the month. Please wear comfortable / loose fitting...

This class continues Karate training for those that are proficient with karate basics. In this class we teach more advanced karate techniques, practice hitting bags, sparring, combinations of techniques, self-defense situations, katas Pinan Nidan through Pinan Godan, and beginning Judo. This course will take the student to the green belt level. Please wear comfortable / loose fitting clothes.

Bo Class - Green & Up

We teach Okinawan Bo (6ft. staff). The student will learn how to use the bo, teaching block, strikes, kata, sparring, and contact form. This class is for green belts and above. Students must be proficient in stances and karate techniques. Please wear comfortable / loose fitting clothes. Bo classes are offered on Fridays at Hawthorne, CA. (see schedule list below)
