Acquire the skills you need to elevate your personal wine appreciation.

History, anecdotes, and laughs all served in generous portions

For thousands of years, people have made and enjoyed wine. If it's been around so long, why is it so difficult to learn about wine? Why is it so intimidating? We know how to demystify this ancient beverage.

Whether you’re new to wine or would like to take your wine knowledge to the next level, Wine Camp is the perfect class. We’ll give you the confidence and foundation you need to explore the world of wine. This two-hour tasting class is an exploration of SIX wines with expert instruction and guidance by Ian Blackburn.

You’ll learn how wine is made, improve your ability to describe wine, learn the best way to serve wine, how to pair food and wine, and so much more. Increase your level of appreciation, gain a depth of enjoyment, and be able to make confident wine purchases!

Question from Tendency N.
How much does the tasting kit cost?
Answer from anonymous
The tasting kit will be based on real-time prices of the wines. It's our intention to keep the prices reasonable but to show wines that truly work for a detailed wine tasting class. We estimate local 1-person tasting sets to be $40-50 in California and bottle sets (good for up to 10 people) are approx. $200-$250 (the value of the 7 bottles of wine).

Question from John and Nina C.
What is the cost of the tasting kit?
Answer from anonymous
3 Options: There will be two types of tasting kits - (1) small pours - that require local delivery or overnight delivery to be received the day of the class (only available in California) ... or (2) we can send you full-bottle tasting kits.... (3) a third option is that we send you the tasting list and allow you to purchase the wine locally.

Question from Anonymous
We would love to do this class but would be 15-20 minutes late. No big deal or kind of better to book on another date when we'd be on time?
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi there! The school does not encourage students to come in late, but it will be the student's prerogative. If you'd like to get the most out of the class, it would be better if you come on time.

I truly enjoyed Wine Camp - An Introduction to Wine. I did not know much about the wines of France before the class but learned a tremendous amount and can now go into a Wine Store and make great choices of wine. I discovered my new favorite white wine in the class. Wish I lived in California so I could join the dinner and wine pairing events.

I was not able to connect due to the internet. I requested the video and the link did not work. Just too difficult to try to do these classes on the west coast when you live in the southeast. Not very user-friendly.

We weren't allowed in the room until exactly 3:30 pm, course was suppose to be 2 hours long or longer. We were dismissed from class at 5:05 pm. 25 minutes before 2 hours were up. I thought we would learn more about pairing wine with food.
