Memorial Day weekend traditionally kicks off ice cream season in the U.S., even though it's a staple year-round here in California. Today's flash class will show you some great ways to make, top, serve and decorate ice cream specialties. We'll make sauces (hot fudge, marshmallow creme, and caramel), cone/cups, and even a blender ice cream. Generous tastings and take-home recipes included.

Make your own gourmet ice cream at home! We'll gather in my chef's kitchen to make decadent dark chocolate and fresh strawberry ice creams from scratch. Then we'll make waffle bowls that will hold our delicious creations. We'll finish by building sundaes, using our handmade ice cream and a variety of toppings I've prepared. You'll get plenty of hands-on experience in the process so that you feel comfortable making ice cream at home.
