What you'll learn in this pottery wheel class:

In this four-week course students will learn steps and techniques on having more control over their pieces. Through the use of measuring tools, trimming, and production techniques students will learn how to create a cohesive and consistent body of work.

Prerequisite: Previous wheel throwing experience is highly recommended.

Throw on the wheel together, review centering, pulling the walls, and throwing techniques

  • Week 1: Throw on the wheel together, review centering, pulling the walls, and throwing techniques
  • Weeks 2 & 3: Review Throwing Big Techniques and how to attach two parts.
  • Week 4: Surface Design, alterations, addition - students will learn how to alter their designs along with alternative tools used for production.

This class is taught by Leonard Rusch who has been throwing on the wheel for over 40 years.

24-hour access to practice outside of class time and all clay, firing, tools, and glaze materials are included.
