Ina Vandebroek, Ph.D., received her doctorate in Neuropsychopharmacology from the University of Ghent, Belgium, and is the Matthew Calbraith Perry Assistant Curator of Economic Botany and Caribbean Program Director at the Institute of Economic Botany at The New York Botanical Garden. She has conducted fieldwork in ethnobotany and medical anthropology in Bolivia, New York City and the Dominican Republic, and is Associate Editor of the on-line journal, Journal of Ethnobiology and Ethnomedicine.
