What you'll learn in this architecture class:

Enterprise & Solution Architecture (E&SA) Certification is what architects and those desiring the role of architect have been looking for to build upon their EA knowledge and credentials.

E&SA courses are intensive and include presentations, discussions, class exercises, and exam preparation.

Practitioner certificate: This level of training elaborates on the more practical parts of the syllabus with application of the knowledge to a case study. You will also be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of architecture management techniques in the areas of migration planning, implementation, change management and governance.

Who is this aimed at?
Anyone who is involved in any aspect of enterprise and solution architecture.

What are the entry requirements?
You must have either the BCS Intermediate level certificate or have studied the syllabus and reference model, and have either TOGAF 8 or TOGAF 9 level 2 certificate.

Candidates should also have six or more years’ experience of IS / IT work, with some contact with architects and architecture descriptions. Training with a BCS accredited training provider is also recommended.

Holders of the Practitioner Certificate will have demonstrated their knowledge and understanding of intermediate level concepts, including architecture processes, and descriptions.

They must show that they can apply this knowledge to a case study that involves producing deliverables in the following areas:
  • architecture precursors: goals, directives and scope
  • architecture descriptions: business, data, applications and infrastructure architecture.
They will also have demonstrated their knowledge and understanding of architecture management techniques in the areas of migration planning, implementation, change management and governance.

What format is the exam?
  • One hour ‘closed book’
  • 40 multiple choice questions based on a case study, provided under 'Useful links'
  • Pass mark is 65% (26/40)
  • Exam is proctored on-site during the last day of traning.
