Made for museum lovers and skeptics alike, our Un-Highlights tour of the National Gallery of Art will show you a side of the National Gallery you’ve never seen before!

Join our renegade tour guides on a high-energy, two-hour group tour through these historic halls with a “tasting menu” approach as you learn the crazy true stories behind a selection of art across the National Gallery of Art’s collection. This is not your grandma’s museum tour

This tour is not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Gallery of Art. Admission to the National Gallery of Art and to all its exhibitions, tours and other public programs is free of charge

Our public Un-Highlights tours are now 16+. Families who show up with children under 16 on tour will be asked to leave the tour with a full refund.

Refund Policy

We cannot accept tour cancellations with less than 36 hours notice because slots are already guaranteed, and with less than 36 hours notice, it will be difficult for us to re-sell the slots.

We encourage re-scheduling to another class instead of refunding but can offer a refund as long as the class is canceled 36 hours in advance.

Note: Please be reminded that we will only accommodate re-booking requests 24 hours before a tour starts, not after. We will no longer accommodate any re-booking requests that may come in after a tour has ended.
