The National Gallery of Art offers an array of architectural and design details, as well as three dimensional pieces of art. Join Corey for a class exploring how to reimagine the lines and shapes of these elements to create unique and memorable photographs.
Throughout the class Corey will work with participants individually to answer questions, clarify concepts and suggest ways to infuse creativity into their images.
We will explore the East Building and learn about:
- Creative use of perspective
- Emphasizing details to show off textures and patterns
- Use of line and shape as composition building blocks
- How to choose details from a larger scene or subject
- Isolating patterns
Recommended Equipment:
- DSLR or mirrorless camera and lens(es) covering the range 18-200mm.
All skill levels welcome although students should have some familiarity with the exposure settings of ISO, aperture and shutter speeds.
COVID Safety Practices: Masks are optional.
