Join Laura Hatcher in her Old Town, Alexandria photography studio and learn what gear is best for creating your own studio. This hands-on class provides photographers an opportunity to learn how to set up various types of lighting equipment to create portraits in a studio setting.
Students will set up and configure the lighting and modifiers, and will practice photographing each other to see in real time how they can control and shape the light.

Come away from this class with a solid foundation for creating your own studio lighting set up.
Students should bring their DSLR or Mirrorless camera, lenses such as 50mm on a crop sensor camera, 85mm on a full frame camera or any lens in the range of 24-70mm. Tripods are not required.
