Description
Darryl MacKenzie became a USA Cycling Licensed Coach in 1997. His concentration is on cyclists who are over 35 years of age and those who prefer cycling endurance (over 40 miles) rides and events.
Darryl leads over 2,000 training sessions per year in his Stationary Training programs, Bike Fits, and his on-the-road training rides.
He has lead 11 Double Teams to train cyclists to complete a Double Century or to earn their California Triple Crown for completing at least 3 Double Centuries in the one year. Each of the 49 cyclists who completed Coach Darryl's Double Team Training Series successfully finished their first double century on the their first attempt.
Personally, Darryl has completed 35 Doubles Centuries, has won seven California Triple Crowns, and has pedaled hundreds of Centuries.
In 2010 he was presented with the Coach of the Year Award by the San Diego Cyclo-Vets. Darryl is a native of Nova Scotia Canada and has lived in California for over 30 years.
