Get ready to combine drawing and painting in this gestural and expressive class. If you love artwork with energy, movement and loose lines, this is perfect for you!

This class is designed for artists with some prior experience painting and basic knowledge of abstract painting who want to explore new techniques, and materials.

Join us as we explore:

Exercises designed to focus and loosen up
Ways to developing confidence and overcoming fears
How to push the limits with materials, tools, and techniques in unconventional ways

By the end of the class, students will have completed a very expressive abstract painting to take home.

Supplies:

1 graphite no.2 pencil
1 charcoal pencil
1 9B graphite crayon
1 Cretacolor Chunky Charcoal or Derwent XL Charcoal
1 ArtGraf water soluble taylor square in black (Found at Blick, Amazon, Artist & Craftsman)
1 India ink, small size
1 chip brush, 2" wide
1 large round brush (brands: Escoda, Blick Mega)
gloves
quality paper towels or cotton rags

Refund Policy

Cancelled Class Policy

Occasionally the school may find it necessary to cancel a course or workshop due to scheduling conflicts or instructor cancellation. If this occurs, registered students will be contacted and will be refunded the full course tuition and any additional fees.

Refund Policy

If something should come up and you are unable to attend your class/workshop, please give us 3 business days notice prior to the start of the class/workshop for a refund less 5% cancellation fee.

After 3 business days, no refunds will be given.

Make Up Policy

Life happens and you may miss a class. You will be allowed to make up one class from the session.

Please request a “make up slip” that is active for the next 30 days. DO NOT just show up to redeem a make up slip as full classes will have NO CHOICE but to turn away the make up student if there are no available tables/space.

You may make up your class in any class that has room, it does not need to be the class that you originally took.

Make ups are limited to one class per session.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
