Royal Young is a writer and artist born and bred in New York’s Lower East Side. Young is author of the memoir FAME SHARK. His writing has appeared in the New York Times, New York Post, Interview Magazine, The Rumpus, BOMB Magazine and The Forward, among others. He also had an essay included in the anthology HOW DOES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL? Young’s solo show of paintings debuted at Figureworks Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
