Developing Emotional Intelligence (EI) involves learning to more fully recognize, experience, understand and manage our emotions in order to refine our communication with others to achieve more satisfying and meaningful relationships, and to adapt to life’s challenges resourcefully. This workshop will use discussion, exercises, visual art and music activities to increase self-awareness, expand consciousness, and help boost our EI abilities. We will explore our emotional responses to visual images of pieces of art, engage in drawing exercises (using colored pencils/markers), participate in improvising music (no experience required, but feel free to bring an instrument), among other techniques. Come discover how exercising your different senses can raise emotional intelligence immensely.
