Amadou Coundoul

Amadou Coundoul is a native French speaker and holds a Master’s degree in Education with Honor from Pace University of New York. He has been teaching French to children and adults for over twenty five years, organizing workshops for corporations and providing classes and private lessons throughout New York City. He has taught French as an Adjunct lecturer at the City University of New York.

Born in Dakar, Senegal Mr. Coundoul received his bachelor's degree from the Teachers Training College in Dakar, Senegal where he began his teaching career by traveling to villages in Senegal and Mali, establishing curriculum and building schools throughout the area. As a veteran New Yorker, for the past twenty-five years Mr. Coundoul has taught, tutored, and served as a community advocate in New York City. He is grateful for the opportunity to share his passion for language, education, and culture as he inspires his students to grow.
