What you'll learn in this it class:

This class centers on developing the skills and knowledge needed for Day-1 Kubernetes operations for managing applications. Using best practices as guiding principles, students will engage in topics pertaining to the Kubernetes architecture to make informed decisions for production workloads.

Topics include configuring resource availability for applications, implementing advanced scheduling for applications, and administering user roles and permissions for the Kubernetes cluster. Kubernetes Operations and System Integration teams will benefit greatly as they plan and deploy their Kubernetes production environments.

This course is targeted at students with the following:

  • Skills: Kubernetes Application Essentials (or equivalent) experience
  • Motivations: Perform core ‘day-1’ operational tasks on Kubernetes

  • Discuss multi-tenancy in a Kubernetes cluster

Course Prerequisites
  • Kubernetes Application Essentials (or equivalent) experience
  • Familiarity with the Bash shell
  • Filesystem navigation and manipulation
  • Command line text editors like vim or nano
  • Common tooling like curl, wget and ping
  • Familiarity with JSON and YAML notation

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Refund Policy

Cancellation by Student


Cancellations must be received at least 10 business days prior to the start of class to be eligible for a refund. Alternatively, your registration can be transferred to another class if the request is received at least 10 business days prior to the start of class. In the event of non-attendance or failure to reschedule per the above policy, any fees paid for classes are forfeited.

We review enrollments at least one week prior to the class start date. In the case of low enrollment, however, classes may be cancelled or rescheduled anytime at our discretion. Cancellation of OCM50 Exams


Cancellations must be received within 10 business days after you receive access to an exam, you can cancel your exam as long as you are within the 10 business days period and have not yet started your exam. If you are within your 10 business days period and you have already started your exam you forfeit the opportunity for cancellation.
