For thousands of years, people have made and enjoyed wine. If it's been around so long, why is it so difficult to Learn About Wine? Why is it so intimidating?

At wineLA, we know how to demystify this ancient beverage.  Whether you’re new to wine, or you’re someone who wants to take your wine knowledge to the next level;  Wine Camp is the perfect introductory class.

We’ll give you the confidence and foundation you need to explore the world of wine.

This 2-hour wine experience is packed with information. You’ll learn how wine is made, improve your ability to describe wine, find out the best way to serve wine, and we’ll even discuss food and wine pairing. At Wine Camp you’ll explore seven outstanding wines in a fun and relaxed setting. When you’re finished, you’ll be able to enjoy wine at a higher level and make confident purchases with your new, topical insights.

Included in Wine Camp:

  • How wine is made
  • Lessons on how to taste wine, and to describe what you taste.

Question from Tendency N.
How much does the tasting kit cost?
Answer from anonymous
The tasting kit will be based on real-time prices of the wines. It's our intention to keep the prices reasonable but to show wines that truly work for a detailed wine tasting class. We estimate local 1-person tasting sets to be $40-50 in California and bottle sets (good for up to 10 people) are approx. $200-$250 (the value of the 7 bottles of wine).
Question from John and Nina C.
What is the cost of the tasting kit?
Answer from anonymous
3 Options: There will be two types of tasting kits - (1) small pours - that require local delivery or overnight delivery to be received the day of the class (only available in California) ... or (2) we can send you full-bottle tasting kits.... (3) a third option is that we send you the tasting list and allow you to purchase the wine locally.
Question from Elise T.
How long after you've booked the class are you sent the link to buy the tasting kit?
Answer from anonymous
Within 24-48 hours, you will receive the link or you can visit and purchase the WINE CAMP tasting Kit.
Question from Anonymous
We would love to do this class but would be 15-20 minutes late. No big deal or kind of better to book on another date when we'd be on time?
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi there! The school does not encourage students to come in late, but it will be the student's prerogative. If you'd like to get the most out of the class, it would be better if you come on time.

I was not able to connect due to the internet. I requested the video and the link did not work. Just too difficult to try to do these classes on the west coast when you live in the southeast. Not very user-friendly.

We weren't allowed in the room until exactly 3:30 pm, course was suppose to be 2 hours long or longer. We were dismissed from class at 5:05 pm. 25 minutes before 2 hours were up. I thought we would learn more about pairing wine with food.

doors opened promptly at 3:30 but class was over just after 5:00. They even sent out email the night before saying class usually runs longer than the 2 hours. Feel like we were cheated out of something. In the hour and half we were there, I hoped to have learn a little more about wine than about Ian's trip to France Would not recommend this class.
