Take your pattern-making skills to the next level with Virtual Pattern Making II at The New York Sewing Center. Learn how to draft a bodice sloper from scratch, explore different sleeve styles and collars, and make modifications for a custom fit. Perfect for creating tops and shirts, or combining with your skirt pattern for a full dress.
Once you've taken Pattern Making for Beginners, this is the perfect next step! Now that you've focused on skirts, we're moving on to bodice drafting!

This class can be used to make tops and shirts or combine with your skirt pattern to make a full dress!
PROJECTS: Custom Bodice Pattern from scratch
FABRIC AND SUPPLIES: Supplies not included: 2 yards of pattern paper, mechanical pencil, eraser, tracing wheel, scotch tape (matte finish) and 2 yards of muslin.
*You will also need fabric for the bodice, but that won't be needed until later in the class; we will discuss the first day. No need to bring with you on day 1.
PREREQUISITE: Sewing 101 or similar experience and Pattern Making for Beginners
VIRTUAL CLASS RECORDINGS: All virtual classes will be recorded. If you miss a class or need to practice at home you may request the recording and rewatch. Class recordings are only available to students registered for the class and only the speaker will be recorded.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
