What you'll learn in this collage class:

Friday Art Night classes are a great way to end the week! Pour yourself a drink, relax, and create! For ages 21+. Proof of age will be requested on the day of the event.

Create an artwork inspired by your favorite poem, quote, catch phrase, or piece of writing. Together we’ll discuss Lee Krasner’s painting Desert Moon, and the poem LACMA commissioned Karen Holden to write in response to the work, in order to explore how visual art and poetry come together. Experiment with drawing, painting, and collage techniques to transform words into line, shape, and color. With artist Billie Rae Vinson.

A Zoom link and art materials list will be sent to you prior to class. Students are responsible for providing their own art materials based on recommendations provided by the teaching artist.
