Michael Walkup

Teaches at Primary Stages ESPA

Michael Walkup is the Producing Director of Page 73, a theater company producing playwrights’ first professional premieres in New York City and developing the work of early-career playwrights who have yet to receive such a production (page73.org). Page 73’s recent productions include You Got Older by Clare Barron (2 Obie Awards), When January Feels Like Summer by Cori Thomas, and Grounded by George Brant. He also serves as Teaching Artist for the Dwight/Edgewood Project, an education program run by Yale Repertory Theatre teaching playwriting to New Haven middle schoolers modeled on New York’s 52nd Street Project, where Michael also volunteers. He worked previously in new play development at Yale Rep. MFA in Dramaturgy, Yale School of Drama; BA in Theater Studies, Penn State University.
