Jasmine Étoile Aarons, Founder, CEO and Creative Director, VOZ

Jasmine dedicates herself to supporting and protecting ceremonial design practices that honor the earth.

After a background in fine arts and a degree in mechanical engineering in Product Design at Stanford University, Jasmine received a Haas Post Graduate Fellowship in 2009 to assist the Mapuche weavers of the Chol Chol Foundation in Southern Chile in creating contemporary products, branding, scalable production, and international sales channels. Since then she founded VOZ in 2011 to harness the beauty and power of the fashion industry to help skilled artisans out of rural poverty. She created a system that accomplishes this through collaborative fashion design methodology and local education programs.

VOZ makes modern luxury fashions that are fair trade and ecologically sustainable. VOZ clothing exists to celebrate the ethnic craft identity of its artisan partners in Latin America and bridge skilled rural communities and urban fashion audiences. VOZ, selling in over 40 stores internationally, has recently launched its first flagship the VOZ Sanctuary, and was named by Vogue.com as one of the top five sustainable fashion brands of 2015.


Andrea Reyes, Chair, NYC Fair Trade Coalition

Andrea Reyes is a fair trade advocate, educator and small business owner. She is the Chair of the NYC Fair Trade Coalition: a network of small fair trade business owners who support each other through education and shopping events. She is the founder of A. Bernadette: a fair trade fashion brand in Uganda which hosts educational study abroad programs. She teaches fashion marketing, international trade, and business development classes at Baruch College, Berkeley College, LIM College, Pace University, and Fashion Institute of Technology.


Jennifer Coulombe, Founder and CEO, Sat Nam babe

A passionate and self-motivated MBA with 14 plus years in the corporate and non-profit space, Jennifer left her full-time job in 2016 to start her first company, with the ultimate goal to work for herself from anywhere in the world. She launched Sat Nam babe in Spring 2017, a socially conscious line of yoga-inspired clothing for kids under six and babies (think ethical supply chain, pants made out of recycled plastic bottles, fun prints and an overall uplifting message).

Jen is a 200-hour certified Kundalini yoga teacher, Khalsa Way prenatal yoga teacher and kids yoga teacher, and can be found braving the New York City streets by bike, hanging out in her Brooklyn neighborhood and daydreaming about her next spontaneous travel adventure.

She also works part-time on the business development team for global health NGO, Seed Global Health, which allows her to work as stress-free as possible on growing and scaling Sat Nam babe, while knowing the bills will be paid. The words, “Sat Nam” translate to “truth is my identity.” Jen can’t think of a better message to send to our littlest citizens: as they grow up and are faced with societal pressure, may they always stay true to their dreams and what they are meant to accomplish in this lifetime. Amer Jandali, Marketing Executive, Dopper

DJ turned social innovator. Amer’s world shifted when he saw a film about plastic bags, now he’s committed to designing the next generation of super sick reusable bags, starting with the world’s first reusable, wearable tote bag. Braceletote is a thin, bodega-sized tote bag that wraps up into a bracelet. Designed for the urban commuter, it’s handy, self-expressive, and always on you. The product impacts climate by challenging the 100 billion plastic bags used in the US per year, which consume 12 million barrels of oil, and incur yearly disposal costs of $12.5 million in NYC alone. Braceletote is a small symbol of a larger progressive shift towards sustainability.
