Hakan is FIKA’s Master Chocolatier and works alongside FIKA founder Lars Akerlund. Originally from a small town on the Swedish countryside, Hakan first worked at a local bakery before moving to the prestigious Nordiska Kompaniet (NK) bakery.

After years of pastry, cake, and cookie design and preparation, Hakan drifted closer and closer to working with chocolate. In 2005, he joined the national Swedish Culinary Team where he won the gold medal in Culinary Olympics in 2008.

Along with his impressive resume, Hakan has the learn-by-doing and never-fear-failure attitude that resonates with Craftsman Ave. Above all else, he wants to share his craft and the magic of what chocolate can be.
