Excellent class and wonderful chef! I had a great time during the class and also afterwards enjoying the delicious desserts.

Class was postponed until a date we have not been notified

Fantastic class, and fantastic treats to take home. I learned so much from Simon, and felt safe and taken care of throughout (given it was during Covid times). Would highly recommend!

I live in the Los Angeles area and this platform allowed me to take a class with a New York pastry chef. Loved it!
-
Teaching was great, but Zoom was very difficult. Instructor couldn't hear students, sound repeatedly echoed.
-
The recipes turned out delicious! But it was difficult to understand the instructor’s accent. Also the Zoom did not work well so we couldn’t talk to the instructor or see him during the second half of the class. But it was fun!

This class was awesome! I really did make a dessert soufflé and it REALLY did rise about an inch above the rim - just like in all those magazine photos! The madeline’s we made were SO buttery, tasty good!
-
The class was easy to follow throughout. The instructor gave great advice so that we get through each procedure smoothly and successfully. The madeleine and souffle came out delicious. The souffle was good warm and even cold the next day.
-
Easy to follow and both the quiche and the chocolate lava cake came out perfect!!!

-
Loved the class! Couldn't believe how well the croissants turned out and had a fun and informative instructor.
-
Very well prepared - time for a relaxed an fun experience while learning all the necessary tricks and technics to create the perfect croissant.
I will most probably be back soon for another patisserie class. Recommended!

Great class! Looking forward to trying at home

This is hands down, the best chocolate making class. I took another class the week before this one and did not like it one bit. I was in a hotel guest area, there was no kitchen and everything was done in disposable utensils. It had a "date night feeling" and was full of ppl drinking alcohol while making chocolate and etc.. THIS IS NOTHING LIKE THAT! I got a very thorough look into making chocolate and was able to ask all the questions I had. The best part - I was in an industrial kitchen and got to see how the pros make chocolate.

Great fun! Will be making this on Christmas :)

This is a great hands on class for all levels. I took it with a friend who makes her own bread from scratch, while I rarely bake at all, and we both enjoyed the class. We worked in teams of 3-4 people but everyone got a chance to participate in each step. The instructors were creative in managing to fit a several hour process into 3 hours. And best of all we all left with a few delicious croissants to impress our friends (or eat ourselves!). Merçi beaucoup!

We all had a wonderful time. Chef Jennifer was a terrific instructor. I liked the way she was able to relate to all the students. Chef Simon is also a great teacher of desserts. We all want to participate in other classes. Thanks so much for your thoughtful care and expertise. Anne Rowe

Extremely fortunate to learn from such a knowledge and experience pastry chef. I will definitely never forget this class. My wife and I had a blast and the croissants turned out wonderfully!

Fun class, Chef Simon is witty and shares all his tricks & tips. I highly suggest anyone who loves or is visiting to take this class.
-
Such a fun night!
We would have preferred to be more hands on for every step. There were a fair number of people in the class, so not everyone got to take a stab at each part of the recipe.
Other than that, we had a great time!
Chef Simon and his assistant were knowledgeable and very fun, we definitely learned a lot.
We would love to take another class with them.
-
We had a wonderful time with Chef Simon! There was lots of opportunity to get hands on experience making chocolate pastries. The recipes were all delicious, and when all was said and done, we got to go home with a large amount of chocolate.

For some reason, (and I take full responsibility,) I thought the class began at 7! I arrived at 6:30, and was told it was 5. I wished I could have joined at least for the last part of the class, which was what I wanted to learn in the first place, tarts. But that was denied to me. So, the whole experience was a colossal disappointment

Great time! Macarons were great!!

Great hands on class with a great teacher in Simon. Highly recommended!!
-
Chef did a good job explaining the subtleties of croissant making.
-
Nice class. All the supplies and ingredients are ready for you in class. The chef did a good job explaining the steps and techniques to a class of mostly novices. I was able to recreate these steps and recipes he gave us at home and it worked really well. I can now make french macarons!

The pastry chef Simon was very organized. We were able to make great French pastries and had lots of leftovers to take home. My friend and I look forward to taking another class with him.

The class was great. It demystified making macarons. They came out great and were delicious. I will try to make them myself soon. Only downsides was the class size was larger than normal as 2 latecomers showed up( there seemed to be a mix up) Teacher accommodated but the amount of materials was thrown off. The teacher adapted as he went along.

This was really good experience. I definitely recommend it.

Unfortunately I had an emergency and was unable to attend. I called in and asked if someone could go in my place and was greeted by a friendly representative. My sister and my father went in my place and they said they had a blast. I was told the class was very thorough and they really enjoyed learning how to make the truffles.

Simon was a terrific teacher! Can't wait to take another class!
-
The class was great. It was a hands on class which was what I wanted. Everyone got to try to make their own macarons under the chef's guidance. The chef was very knowledgeable, answered all questions and time was managed excellently. I can now make macarons having attended this class. Overall it was fun and I recommend this class strongly to anyone looking to learn a lot in a short span of time.

fun class, good instructor
-
We were VERY VERY disappointed.
This wasn't a cooking course, but rather a non-participating observer class. There wasn't equipment for anyone but the chef to bake, way too many people for the kitchen size.
The very very basic of offering people water in a 2-hour course didn't exist.
We were very disappointed in the course itself, but also in Course Horse for how it was falsely presented.
-
I liked the class a lot, because the instructor chef was very good. He is very well prepared and it's easy to see that he has a lot of experience.
He is a kind, patient person, that explains things very clearly and dominates the techniques. The results of what we did were great!
I would definitely take another class!
I also think that the kitchen where we took the class was very well equipped and everything was ready for the class.

I loved the class. I'm able to make macarons now!

Amazing teacher, good value, perfect sized class. It was exactly what we could have wanted out of it, especially given the highly
Technical, multi-stepped nature of the dish. It was so much fun and feels replicable at home. My boyfriend and I both left with smiles on our faces.

The recipe and teaching were really good, but the set up of the kitchen and the waiting time during the class were far less than great. there is no sink in the kitchen which does not seem totally sanitary. there is not good place for the group to sit together during the break time. Simon needs to be more organized in offering drinks, snacks and a place to gather. he should also introduce the recipe and process at the beginning outside of the kitchen so that people can be a bit more comfortable and bonded in the initial stage of the class. he did not really introduce himself.

Chef Simon is an outstanding teacher; he is a consummate professional, and made all his students feel comfortable, while empowering them to create class french desserts with delicious results. I had a wonderful time and highly recommend any of his pastry classes.
