The concept of the class was great and something we were looking forward to. The sampling of different cheeses in different states, along with the bubbly/wine was a nice touch. We have done a number of cooking classes in our hometown as well as other cities we have travelled to. None of these classes involved cheese or in this case making a specific cheese, so it might not be a fair comparison. The other classes were instructor lead and participatory, just like this one. However, the process was laid out in steps, with the instructor giving you direction for each step. This class was watching the instructor go through all the steps and then we were allowed to start. It was easy for her since she has done this multiple times in the past. But for a first timer it was very confusing, trying to remember what was said and then try to duplicate the steps. And it didn't go very well, with each of our efforts resulting in a less than acceptable finished cheese. Since we took it with us as we left, we both threw our "finished product" in the trash. The class was also very messy dealing with the cheese and water. It would have been nice to have some protection/covering (aka an apron) to protect our clothes as both of us experienced some splashes and spots on our clothes that were supposed to be worn again during our vacation. I doubt we will try this at home based on our experience, and instead just go out and purchase the cheese when we have the occasion to serve it. For the money, this was a total bust. We had hoped for more.

Fun experience, great information, delicious mozzarella! Staff was friendly.

Felt like whiskey/cheese pairing was a bit of a stretch. Whiskeys were great, cheeses were great but not sure about the pairing.

I loved it! Tours are capped to 12 persons, and we broke to 6 at a time to view/hear about smaller rooms. The guide seemed very knowledgeable and welcomed questions. The tasting after the tour was delightful and included wonderful descriptions of the plated samples. The tasting guide seemed very knowledgeable and welcomed questions. If you love cheese and the proprietor's description piques your interest do it! Murray's has done a wonderful job in structuring the tour and seeing the rooms where cheese is aged with explanation is very informative.

The class was interactive and the content was good. I, however, expected it would be an introductory course,so it would begin with basics.

First, the two presenters were very knowledgeable and friendly. Presentation and seating facilities were excellent.
As a way of feedback, I do wish there was more variety of wines and cheeses. Fewer whites, more reds.
The Cardamaro, a digestivo, did not belong at all with the paring of cheeses. Neither did the Lambrusco, which, as an apperitivo was excellent, it just didn't belong around the cheese.

The class was great. I learned a lot about cheese. I didn't get to talk to my seated neighbors enough. Though. It felt kind of awkward.
I think in the beginning the host should initiate a recommendation and alott some time to introduce ourselves to each other and for us to share our nuts/cherries/apricots/etc. with each other. Because I spent some time feeling awkward sitting so close to people and wondering....,.
I'm glad to know more about cheese now.
I also didn't get ANY refills on my wine. Granted I didn't drink an insane amount. But I did drink some..... and my wine should have been filled to the top like every ten minutes for the amount that I paid.
The girl also didn't answer my question when I asked it. Thankfully someone asked the same thing ten minutes later.
Thanks!

Everything was amazing. Great wine and cheeses. Also very beautiful presentation.
-
Great wine and cheese and very thoughtful guides. Unfortunately, the class (at least with the particular group that showed up) was not for anyone with a more serious interest in wine or cheese, or even for someone who wanted to be able to hear the descriptions.

Super fun! a great intro to cheese making.

This class was so great! Our instructor was such a doll as were the girls helping out. Everyone was very knowledgeable and friendly. I went with my mom and we had a wonderful time. I would definitely recommend this class to any cheese lover!

Had so much fun! Relaxed, fun, and informative atmosphere :)

I found the class great for beginners but the class leaders need to assert some class control as the back row of the class treated the class as a Saturday night out at a bar making it difficult to hear what the class leaders were saying.

Such a great class! The instructors were so knowledgeable and taught us a ton about both cheese and honey. I can't believe how much we learned in an hour and a half! The class was packed with information while still casual and fun. Bonus points for the delicious wine they served. I can't wait to make my next cheese plate!

I really enjoyed the class and learning about foods that I would have never tried outside of this class but i have to admit that it was really overpriced.

Great, fun and informative class. I don't think some people realized they had a discount at the end of the class.

Enjoyed the course and the facilitator was very knowledgeable. Drinks were kept flowing
and atmosphere was kept nice and informal and relaxed.
The room itself was a little small ( everyone was little cramped together) and there was about 25 mins of preamble while everyone was sat there salivating over tetr cheese. Better to let people dive in straight away and structure the information knowledge and anecdotes ( which is all great) around the qualities of the cheeses themselves. If left too long most people give up listening and go straight into the cheese tasting and then lose the added value of the commentary ( as most on my table did!)

This was an excellent class, with delicious cheeses and 6 different types of honey.

The teachers were fun and very knowledgable. I would definitely return there for another class.

Awesome class. Great balance between cheese history/education and tasting. Jason, the instructor, was knowledgable and easy to talk with. Very pleased with the experience and can't wait to try more classes at Murray's!
-
Very fun and knowledgable staff! Had a great time.
-
I took my dad to this class as his birthday present. We both had a great time, learned a lot about cheese, and greatly enjoyed both the cheeses and wine. Jordan was amazing. She was entertaining, excited about cheese, and very knowledgeable. She made us feel comfortable participating and asking questions.
-
Fantastic energetic and enthusiastic teacher who was very knowledgable about cheese!
-
The instructor and facilities were good. The class was fun with an intro to cheese. The mozzarella making part was easy and results were good.
Overall, it was a good class but two issues: they didn't show you how to make the curds, which is the most important part of the process (and the only place they recommended to buy them was in PA). And, the course was very expensive for what you got.
-
Amazing class! A great introduction to understanding about cheese. Sean was great, insightful, knowledgeable, and all for questions and further explanations. Plus, the cheeses were absolutely delicious! Definitely coming back for another class soon.
-
The teacher was outstanding and the extra cheeses and wine made it very enjoyable. Both my son and I had a great time and want to come back for other courses. Thank you for a very nice Saturday afternoon.
-
The class instructor was excellent and a lot of fun :)
-
Not a traditional "class" in any way- much more of a field trip with an opportunity to try good cheese and beer. A tour guide led us through the cheese shop's "caves" (their cheese storage and aging facilities in the basement) which was a quick but informative 20 minute endeavor. We then got the chance to try four cheese and four beers- we were not given any real instruction on this other than a sheet of paper with some information. If you're looking for a fun, easy weeknight activity, I highly recommend this, but it was not the most "educational" class ever.
-
It was very good!
-
Class was fun and teacher was knowledgeable about cheese. Not sure the price is worth the class.
-
The course was fun and different. The instructors were knowledgeable and exciting. I would however say that the room the class was held in was a little tight.
-
The pours are small but it is a tasting after all. The cheese is filling but I ate dinner before class just in case. The location is perfect so be sure to stroll around the hood after or before. And the shop was my dream come true... Specialty cheeses, beers, chocolate, and coffee. I die!
-
The class was great! I've taken a cheese class from Murray's before but it wasn't as cheap as this. The group was chill and our tour guide was very knowledgeable.
