What you'll learn in this cad class:

This course delivers a concise introduction to rhino and an overview of fundamental skills for creating and editing geometry. It will be a combination of synchronous (face-to-face) and asynchronous (guided independent work) materials, to equal a total of 6 hours. 

Requirements: No prior knowledge required. Bring PC laptop with rhino installed

Course Topics:

  • Overall familiarity with the Rhino interface
  • An introduction to Rhino geometry types
  • Essential skills for creating and editing geometry
  • Precision modeling using snaps, guides, and cplanes
  • Modeling with curves and surfaces
  • Modeling with solids
  • Organizing objects via layers


Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Cancellations made 3 or more days in advance will receive a full credit for a rescheduled date with this provider

Cancellation: if cancelled 72 hours prior to class start time, we can refund minus 25% fee. 

Workshops can be cancelled by e+i if there is low enrollment. In this case students can transfer to a different date or receive full refund.

Rescheduling: We require 72 hours to reschedule to a different class date.

Hello, I'd love to know if this was geared towards particular industry. I.e. architecture, industrial design, visual merchandising? I'm fairly familiar with Rhino as well, so hoping it is a bit more intensive preparing you for hi-resolution modeling to be rendered nicely for client presentation. Any insights would be much appreciated!

Hi there! This course is not geared towards a specific industry, rather it’s focused on building basic skills for 3d modeling. Also the basic course is not focused on renderings or preparing models for renderings.

If we take this class and decide we need more advanced training, are there advanced classes we can take? I only see the basic one-day Rhino workshop and the full three-day rhino course, but nothing that would be appropriate to take AFTER the one day workshop. Thanks!

Hi, yes Rhino v5 and v6 are both fine for the workshop. Also, Mac or PC platforms are fine as well, although PC is definitely the preferred platform and is what the course is taught on.

They can, in fact, issue a certificate of completion on the same day via email. The student should let the school know beforehand if there is any specific information they’d like included on the certificate. Hope this helps!

Hi! The Basic Rhino Workshop class is a one-day course from 10:00 am - 4:30 pm. Currently, the class has three open sections scheduled on October 6th, November 3rd and December 1st, 2017 respectively.

The class was definitely what I was looking for and learned a lot from the teacher. I loved the fact that class was very small at 6 and not overwhelming. Instructor was very detailed and easy to learn from. As a beginner of the software, after the class I felt I can definitely start using the program right away. I highly recommend to those who’s willing to learn.
