Level 5 Construction Project Management

This course familiarizes participants with the plans, submitals, RFIs, contracts, and schedules used to manage a construction project. Students will work in teams, managing simulated jobs in which architects, contractors, and owners communicate and share documents, following the progression of a typical job.

This hands-on lecture and lab class familiarizes participants with the plans, submittals, RFIs, contracts, and schedule documents that are used to manage a construction project. Students will in work in teams, managing simulated jobs in which architects, contractors, and owners communicate and collaborate to keep the work on track.

• Develop a Scope of Work
• Develop a Schedule of Values
• Develop an Organizational Chart Write the responsibilities and duties of all field staff of the CM
• Develop a project work schedule in both a Bar Chart and CPM formats
• Develop a project budget
• Develop a payment schedule
• Understand the use of the different types of contracts in the construction industry
• Able to track a project for payments, extra work and change orders
• Prepare QA/QC inspection and report documents
• Prepare and Review safety and health plan, understand the difference between a warranty and a guarantee
• Develop a punch list and project closeout deliverables list

Proof of vaccination is required for all Continuing Studies Center students attending in person or hybrid classes.
