What you'll learn in this natural medicine class:

Traditional curandernos (healers) throughout the world use ritual, sweating, medicinal plants, and the elements of wind, fire, water, and the earth to bring healing to their communities. In this 3-hour workshop, we will focus on cacao (raw chocolate), a primary element in indigenous medicine, to bring healing to our group.

We will discuss indigenous and allopathic views of cacao, as well as effective remedies and recipes. In ceremony, we will drink chocolate tea, wash our hands in chocolate, and release what no longer serves us.

Through songs, sacred sounds, and soothing aromas, we will create profound peace for the mind, body, and soul.

Note:

A materials fee of $20 to be paid directly to the presenters.

Wear comfortable clothing and bring a pillow as well as an item for the altar that represents a conflict, a prayer, or blessing; flowers, seeds, fruit, and vegetable are also welcome for dressing the altar.

We also ask you to bring an item that represents: a conflict, a prayer, or blessing. The item will be placed on a community altar, to receive a collective prayer from all people present. In addition, you can also bring flowers, seeds, fruit, or vegetable to be placed on the altar for Mother Earth.
