Jumpstart your teen’s French learning with Summer Immersion Classes!
Small classes with strict safety guidelines are offered in person at FIAF to meet the needs of parents and children.
Our multidisciplinary approach encourages interactions in French with role playing everyday tasks to awaken teens’ interest and imaginations. FIAF’s Summer Immersion Classes focus on developing oral communication, including both listening comprehension and speaking skills. Teens will additionally build a solid foundation in reading and writing in French at a beginner, intermediate, and advanced level while learning strategies to become a more independent foreign language learner. The summer curriculum integrates preparation for the DELF JUNIOR exams.

Juniors Levels (Ages 14-17)
Beginner – Levels 101-104
Teens will learn how to greet someone, introduce themselves and others, describe a person, and express emotions. They will be able to talk proficiently about jobs, housing, and meals, and how to have a conversation over the phone in French and make vacation plans. In grammar, frequently used verbs and irregular verbs will be covered. The imperative form, the present tense, the future tense, the “passé composé” and “imparfait” past tenses, will be introduced along with reflexive verbs and their usage.
To withdraw from a class, please send a written request at least 4 business days prior to the first day of class. You may submit a written request by email to [email protected]
When you wish to withdraw from a class you have two options:
No refunds or credits are offered for books, specialty exams, or workshops. Refunds are not offered for private lessons, but you may reschedule your class.
Summer classes will be subject to the same refund policies as classes during the year with the following exceptions:
The school reserves the right to cancel classes and workshops, adjust curricula, and change teachers if necessary without advanced notice. Courses are typically cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, unavailability of a teacher, or inability to schedule appropriate instructional space. If your course is cancelled, you will be notified by telephone or email and given the option to transfer to another class, to receive a tuition credit, or to receive a full refund.
