Art Focus: Making (Grades 6-12)

Create inspiring artwork by tinkering, building, combining and reusing materials in this studio art class. We will explore a wide range of media and techniques that encourage students to embrace the process of creating art! Projects will draw on concepts from contemporary art, crafts, artisanry, sculpture and the ‘maker’ movement. 

• Students will work in 2D and 3D creating original artworks that have a tactile component 
• Projects explore clay, plaster, wax, glass, mixed media, printmaking, collage, upcycling, textile / fiber art, metal and more
• Teachers provide technical instruction as well draw inspiration from artists and makers from around the world
