Abigail's class was great, my son and I learned a lot, and the food was delicious as an experience, 5/5 stars. However, I was disappointed that we never received the promised email that she said would include the recipes from that day. We were looking forward to making all the delicious meals! Otherwise, would recommend, but maybe take notes during class since you wont get them after!

Abigail was excellent! She was informative and interactive. Shopping for seafood, especially in chinatown is intimidating. I never used to think much about where my seafood comes from and how it's prepared prior to buying. I feel alot more confident and excited to start eating seafood more!!

The instructor was very kind and knowledgable but I was a little disappointed we didn't actually get to do a lot of the cooking. We learned how to filet a fish (and do one ourselves) which I very much enjoyed but was hoping to do the cooking. Instead, we all watched the fish being cooked different ways. Very nice teacher but not exactly what I was expecting.

Abbey was knowledgeable and informative. She explained how and where to buy fresh fish. What to look for and how to make decisions about whether to buy farmed or wild. Gave us some really good tips and guidelines. She showed us several techniques of how to prepare and cook fish. And everything was delicious! (But I'm still not a fan of Mackerel

Abigail was a patient and amazing guide, showing us the ins and outs of how to pick fresh seafood. The cooking of the fish was also an amazing experience as we were able to prepare a meal in the kitchen of her restaurant. The entire experience was extremely enjoyable and I would recommend this for everyone.

Chef Roger was great - patient, funny, knowledgeable. There was plenty of time for questions which he answered fully. It was a really fun class and I felt that my husband and I learned a lot. There were a lot of recipes to get through and I can understand how 7-8 students were needed. But I felt that the restaurant's kitchen can really accommodate only 6 or 7, excluding the chef. Overall, this was a great experience!

Still waiting for the chef to email the recipes. I especially enjoyed shopping for the fish in Chinatown although the walk back to the restaurant was a hike in the rain. Learned how to filet a fish. Chef Roger was very engaging & informative. Didn’t like all the garnish on the fish.

Yes. You will meet in Chinatown to buy fish and groceries, then take the purchases back to the Camaje kitchen, where you will learn to fillet, then sauté, poach, bake, and grill. Then, you'll sit down to the fabulous meal you’ve made in this comprehensive class.
Answer from Michelle K. Verified Student
In the restaurant camaje. There are cutting boards with all necessary prep equipment in the main seating area and once everything is prepped you go into the kitchen to cook it all!
Answer from Shandy L. Verified Student
Yup, there is all of that, plus shopping for the fish to start the day. Our class bought and cooked four kinds of fish, plus mussels, shrimp, and scallops.
