What you'll learn in this woodworking class:

In this course, you will learn how to cut, assemble and finish wooden picture frames to your specifications using a sturdy and beautiful technique called corner spline joinery. Frames made without fasteners in this way become durable, long-lasting heirloom pieces. In addition, you will be able to cut your own mats and professionally mount artwork, photographs, or mementos in the frames. These fine art frames are intended to be wall-mounted, and will include turnbuttons that allow the media to be changed or adjusted, thereby making these great gifts for people to add their own photos or art. Students in this class will learn many techniques, including:

Cutting rabbets with a dado blade
Cutting miters
Keyed miter joinery
Sanding and finishing
Mat cutting

This is an intermediate class - students must have experience with the table saw, chop saw, and bandsaw.

Material Fee: $58 (will be included at checkout)

Refund Policy

Full refunds less a 5% processing fee will be offered for cancellations that occur 32 days or more before a program's registration deadline (if no deadline, the first day of the program).
Cancellations between 31 and 9 days will be offered a 50% refund or credit toward another class.
Cancellations after the registration deadline or within 8 days of the first day of class (whichever comes first) will not be refunded.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
