Description
What you'll learn in this woodworking class:
Dado: a groove cut in the face of a board, into which the edge of another board is fixed The dado is one of the most used joinery techniques in woodworking. Whether building boxwork for cabinetry, drawers, a bookcase, or in this instance a tool box, the dado is a strong simple joint. Join instructor Wayne Fords for this one day build of your own tool box. Each student will start with boards available at any lumber yard and end up with a box ready to take home and fill with tools. The students will use common shop machinery including the table saw, miter saw, band saw and sanders to mill all the parts of the tool box. They will then glue-up and complete the box by the end of the class. This class is perfect for beginners who have never worked with these tools, or students who have some experience but would like to learn more about joinery.
Refund Policy
- Full refunds less a 5% processing fee will be offered for cancellations that occur 32 days or more before a program's registration deadline (if no deadline, the first day of the program).
- Cancellations between 31 and 9 days will be offered a 50% refund or credit toward another class.
- Cancellations after the registration deadline or within 8 days of the first day of class (whichever comes first) will not be refunded.
- In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
