What you'll learn in this dressmaking class:
So you know the basics of sewing--what's next? Our Little Black Dress class is the perfect next step after taking our Sewing 101 class or if you know some sewing basics but want to learn a bit more about dressmaking.
In this class, we will be working from the same pattern and going through making your little black dress every step of the way! You will learn some new techniques and have a great dress you can wear to your next soirée. What could be better?
Projects: little black dress with or without sleeves, lining, and invisible zipper. (doesn't have to be black)
Fabric and Supplies: 2-3 yards of fabric depending on the pattern chosen and 1.25 - 2 yards or lining will be purchased by the student and brought to first class. Fabric must be a non-stretch, nonslippery fabric. Great options would be crepe, cotton, poly blend, wool blends.
Prerequisite: Sewing 101 or relevant experience
Patterns: Patterns will be provided for this class.
Refund Policy
- You must give at least 4 business days notice to cancel your enrollment in the class, for a refund less a 5% cancellation fee.
- Once the class has started, we can no longer offer refunds.
- In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
