Learn how to silkscreen your own design using a stencil! Great into to silkscreen class.
Using your design, we start immediately cutting stencils with an exacto blade.
We'll experiment printing with multiple inks, dyes, and resists so you can see the many possibilities silkscreening can offer.
Students should come with their design ready. Images should be no larger than 8x6" and make sure there are no independent parts inside of a cut-out hole. With stencils you will notice that shapes can't float. Any detail will need to be bridged to the rest of the image.
COVID Precautions:
All attendees must be masked during class, provide vaccine card, and fill out form send the week of your class
Your teacher is vaccinated and will be masked. If you are hearing impaired, reach out beforehand so a plan can be made for the teacher to give introductory instruction without the mask if lip reading is necessary.
