This is a guided exercise class, where easily accessible drawing routines are used to increase awareness, enable understanding, and organically build drawing fundamentals. Each week we’ll begin with effortless warmups that can be a productive addition to your routine (art-related or otherwise.) From there we’ll investigate more focused exercises that have been historically used to do everything from building basic drafting skills, to creating finished artworks, and even facilitating meditation. At the end of each session we’ll not only have expanded some of the ways we understand the world around us, but also have a collection of strong, refined drawings. We’ll also cover some tips and tricks that facilitate drawing more frequently, like creating a sketchbook from scratch in 60 seconds and practicing hand stretches.
We’ll learn and grow through drawing in a way that will enrich our minds no matter our drawing skill level and add skills that have broad applications and positive effects.
All art supplies for in-class activities and homework are included in the price and will be shipped to your prior to the start of the course.

Luke Ivy Price
Luke is an artist who works in a diverse array of mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture and mixed media. He earned his Bachelors in Fine Arts from East Carolina University and currently exhibits his work at Ki Smith Gallery in Manhattan.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
